Myitkyina
is the capital and centrally located in the Kachin State. It is
the northern most railway terminal, 919 miles from Yangon and
487 miles from Mandalay. Visitors can tour the Myit Sone, the
confluence of Maikha and Malikha Streams. Ayeyarwady, the most
useful river in Myanmar has its source from this confluence and
flows 1325 miles to the mouth of the river. The water over here
is crystal clear.
The panoramic view of the scenario at Myit Sone with the
unspoiled beauty of nature is beyond the expression of words and
will definitely be a fine attraction to tourists. |

The Chin and the Naga compose about 3 % of
the population of Myanmar. Most of Naga people live in India,
such as Naga Land of northwest India, states of Manipur and
Arunachal Pradesh. On Myanmar side of the border live much
smaller population of some 100,000 Nagas. They spread around
western Sagaing Division, from Patkoi range in north to
Thaungdyat in south, from Indian border in west to River
Chindwin in east.
Naga's biggest festival is new year festival of January, called
Kaing Bi and organized by Naga festival committee who choose
each year's festival location and details under the control of
central government. All Naga tribes send a few delegations to
this occasion, thus it is the perfect opportunity to see variety
of different Naga people at once.

Salone, a group living part of the time on a
few littoral area on the fringes of the Andaman sea and part of
the time on their boats, wondering about among the Islands of
the Myeik Archipelago in a nomadic existence that has caused
them to become known as the sea gypsies. The other mankind the
sea gypsies of Myeik Archipelago, Myanmar people call the salone.
Salone people, the moken people are so simple
and shy population, non-violence, egalitarian, but they really
don't like to interfere with all even they can speak their
Language they know. That means when you arrive in their group.
There is small group in scattered in Archipelago. You feel like
an intruder. They won't say anything. They won't push you away.
They won't welcome you. They push you infant of yourself and
what are you doing there. That's the main questions they ask
you. So, it's quite difficult to be in touch with them. So, shy,
again non violence and really on their own and living in their
own story, legend, all their dreams. That's very difficult to
get it. There are no more then five thousand Salons left in the
world today scattered over the Myeik Archipelago as well as some
parts at the Andaman Sea.

Kyaing Tong is known for its scenic beauty
and many colorful ethnic tribes. Situated in the eastern Shan
State and 452 km from Taunggyi and 176km from Tachileik. Places
of interest around Kyaingtong are, the Spa, Naung Tong Lake,
Sunn Taung Monastery, Central market and Traditional Lacquer
ware works and weaving factory.There are many villages of
various ethnic tribes resided around Kyaing Tong. The tribes
known as Gon, Lwe, Li, Wa, Lah Hu, Thai Nay, Shan, Li Shaw, Li
Su, Palaung, Akha, and we can only differentiate the tribes by
colourful dresses which is different to one another. Can observe
their tribal dances and their way of living on these mountainous
regions around Kyaing Tong.
